National Training P & G Camp

Posted by on Jun 1, 2016

We have listened to your valuable feedback to make this year’s national training camp bigger and better. Not only are we adding an extra day’s training, but we are testing the limits with the amount of content we intend to deliver. The camp will be conducted by Australia’s most experienced Krav Maga Instructors and will be covering all fundamental techniques plus weapons defences, lectures, fitness training and a few surprises! The camp will be divided into separate training groups according to levels from complete beginners to well seasoned veterans of Krav Maga as well as Instructors. This will allow all students and Instructors to benefit from the training opportunity within their ability. Attendees from other Krav Maga organisations and other martial arts systems are encouraged and welcomed to attend. Where Sydney Academy of Sports, Narrabeen Sport and Recreation Centre, Wakehurst Parkway, Narrabeen NSW. Strengthening Your Grip

You ask him, what is his profession, and turns out he is a plumber, a carpenter, a car mechanic. No, it is never the office guy. Yep, I know the feeling. Today our life became very sedentary, we hardly ever need a strong grip, and shaking hands with man today is rather embarrassing feeling, my grandpa would not trust them with such soft holds. Around 1am (Sunday 31 January 2016), police attended a property on Campbell Parade following reports two men were involved in a fight. One of the men – a 31-year-old Italian national – was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with facial injuries. The other man – 27-year-old from Brazil – was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station. He was later released, pending further inquiries. It’s alleged that after discharging himself from hospital, the 31-year-old armed himself with a knife and attended an apartment on Old South Head Road, Bondi, shortly before 5am. Upon arriving, he allegedly told residents he wanted to see the 27-year-old man. Police were called to the scene where they arrested the 31-year-old and seized two knives. He was taken to Waverley Police Station and subsequently charged with: – Aggravated break and enter; – Armed with intent to commit indictable offence; and, – Two counts of common assault. Anyone who has done Krav Maga, even for just a short while, have realized that we are vulnerable to violent attacks from bad people if we are not vigilant and alert to our surroundings. Bad people want something we have; our resources, such as money and valuables, or our life, and we may want to stop that from happening. This knowledge is perhaps one of the biggest reasons for anyone to start doing Krav Maga. Based on this realization, we train our body to become stronger and familiar with movements, and we train our mind to function under stress and make the right decisions. We do this in a dynamic environment against an empty-handed or armed assailant, with returning attackers, multiple attackers, in the dark, in a crowd, getting to safety, etc.
